PlayKorte ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
This policy applies to all users of PlayKorte's website, applications, and services (the "Platform"), including Players and Facilities.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Players:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Booking history and preferences
Facilities:
- Business name and registration details (DTI/SEC certificate)
- Owner or authorized representative name and government-issued ID
- Business address and proof of address
- Facility information (court details, photos, pricing, operating hours)
- Booking and transaction data
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect:
- Device information (device type, operating system, browser type)
- Log data (IP address, access times, pages viewed)
- Booking metadata (transaction IDs, amounts, timestamps, payment status)
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
Payment credentials: PlayKorte does not store credit card numbers, bank account numbers, e-wallet credentials, or other sensitive payment information. All payment processing is handled by PayMongo. Please refer to PayMongo's Privacy Policy for information on how payment data is processed.
Live location data: We do not collect real-time GPS or location tracking data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Platform.
- Process bookings and facilitate payments.
- Communicate with you about bookings, updates, and support.
- Verify Facility identity and eligibility (KYC).
- Prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
- Generate aggregated, anonymized insights to improve our services.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with:
3.1 Service Providers
- PayMongo: Payment processing and KYC verification. Transaction details shared with PayMongo for payment processing include name, email address, contact number, payment method, transaction amount, and timestamp.
- Supabase, Inc.: Database hosting and storage.
- Resend, Inc. (or similar): Transactional email delivery.
- Vercel, Inc.: Web application hosting.
These providers only receive information necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect your data.
3.2 Other Users
- Players can see Facility names, locations, court information, and pricing.
- Facilities can see Player names and contact information for confirmed bookings.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Protect our rights, property, or safety.
- Prevent fraud or illegal activity.
3.4 Business Transfers
If PlayKorte is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:

After the retention period, data is permanently deleted or anonymized.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Secure storage with access controls.
- Regular security reviews.
- A documented personal data breach response procedure.
- Notification to the National Privacy Commission and affected data subjects within seventy-two (72) hours from knowledge of a notifiable breach, as required under applicable law.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Authentication: Keeping you logged in during your session.
- Security: CSRF protection and fraud prevention.
- Consent management: Remembering your cookie preference choices.
Optional analytics and marketing cookie categories are disabled by default. If these categories are enabled in the future, they will only be activated after your consent through our cookie banner and Cookie settings control.
You can update your preferences anytime using the Cookie settings control in the Platform footer. You can also configure your browser to refuse cookies, but this may affect Platform functionality.
7. Your Rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data held by us.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Object to processing in certain circumstances.
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format).

8. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

Your data is processed and stored in the Philippines. If we transfer data outside the Philippines in the future, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in compliance with the Data Privacy Act.
10. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes:
- The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised.
- We will notify you via email or Platform notification.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
